ACT ONE: SCENE ONE

OSONDU: (making incantations and stroking his long beard) (holding up a cock

and singing spiritual songs) this cock! I want you to make Mazi Okonkwo happy

by giving him a son thereby putting an end to the 13 years barrenness spell on his

wife. (Reaching for a knife and cutting the neck of the cock) (pouring the blood into

an old thin dirty gourd) (reaching for the door, talking to his client) Woman! You can

                        now come into the shrine.

WOMAN:(shocked at the call of her name, walking into the shrine) Thank you wise one.

OSONDU:                         (making incantations) Take this!! (Passed the gourd to the woman) Drink, drink it! So

Okonkwo can be a father, put an end to this barreness.

WOMAN: (puzzled) What is this (Bringing the gourd closer to her nose)

OSONDU: (pacing all round the center of the shrine and saying strange words) (Turns

suddenly towards the woman) You ask too many questions, unnecessary questions!                         If you must know, it is the blood of your sacrifice.

WOMAN: (feels like vomiting) What!! (Dropping the gourd) No, I cannot drink this, this is flesh

                                                blood and it is forbidden.

OSONDU: (laughing hysterically) What do you mean, you have not seen anything yet, you may

remain barren if you like. I am not forcing you to do anything but I only pity my friend

                                                Okonkwo.

WOMAN: (breaks down in tears) Why! Why should mine be different? Did other women pass

through this before they got their own children? What have I done to deserve this?

OSONDU: (boiling within) Hey!! Woman, Dont drop tears here and Listen!! If it were not for my

friend Okonkwo I would have driven you out from here.

WOMAN: (cleans up her tears, consoles herself and looked hard) Enough of this shame

(picks up the gourd and drinks from it, removing from her mouth too quickly) Too

                                                bitter, aargh.

OSONDU: You are not a serious expectant mother. Being a mother is a bitter experience.

Woman, finish everything! Yes everything. Your solution to lasting happiness of

being a mother is in your hand.

WOMAN: (returns the gourd to her mouth and finishes the contents) (handing the gourd back

                                                to Osondu)

OSONDU: (nodding his head in contentment) Good! This is good of you. Now, the final and

main thing. (Giving the woman the head of the cock)

WOMAN: (frightened) What is this for?!!

OSONDU: (laughing hysterically and making a sign of eating something) Eat it, it is meant to

                                                 eat.

WOMAN: (standing up from her seat) May the gods forbid! (spitting on the floor) Never, if this

is what it means for me to have a child, then I better be barren for the rest of my life.                         (running away from the shrine)

OSONDU: (laughing more loudly) Foolish woman, go barren for the rest of your life and I am

sure Okonkwo will wake from his own foolishness, and I am also sure he will heed to

my advice and marry another wife. (laughing)

            ACT ONE: SCENE TWO

OSONDU: (chewing huge kolanuts and waving a long stick around the walls of the shrine)

suddenly a small boy runs into his shrine

(shouting to the boy) Hey! Stop there. What is the problem.

SMALL BOY:     (panting heavily and gathering to himself his torn clothes) Wise one, when I was

coming back from the farm I saw them.

OSONDU: (dropping the stick and large kolanuts in his hand one after the other) (squeezes his

forehead) Them, what? Them? Who? Talk to me boy, who did you see?

SMALL BOY:      I saw them; they wanted to kill uncle, one uncle called, Ezendu. They were beating

and dragging him into the bush and (rubbing his sore legs)

OSONDU: Shut up your mouth small boy, what are saying?

SMALL BOY:                         Yes I saw them, they were even gathering stones to stone him, probably to death.

OSONDU: (holding the boys hand and going out of the shrine) Come and show me where you

                                                saw them.

            ACT ONE: SCENE THREE

SMALL BOY:     (pointing to a direction) That was the spot where I saw them.

OSONDU:                         Small boy you can now go back home, I can be dangerous to you, I am dangerous to

boys of your age. Supposing your story is false, I will use your head to appease the

                                                gods.

SMALL BOY: (running back to his home) Hey! Come back here, (raising the hem of his garment,

bringing out a golden locket) better to run before its too late unless you want your

head to be in the hanging balance.

OSONDU: (Raises his head gently, breathing into the atmosphere) (nodding his head in

contentment, returns the golden locket quickly to its place) Yes, there is danger, the

small lad was right, but where can I find them (when he saw that the small boy was

out of sight, he dipped his hand into his bag and brought out a mirror) (Talking to

mirror) Show me where these men are.

For several minutes, Osondu kept looking at the mirror to see if he could find

those who wanted to kill Ezendu, but saw nothing..

(talking to himself) What will I do now, this mirror seems to be disappointing me                         (thought for long) (then he dipped into his pocket and brought out a

transparent robe, wore it and turned to a snake)

Minutes later, after turning to a normal being, he appeared at the scene...

(talking to the some men holding and beating his brother) Stop beating the young

man, stop beating him or I turn all of you into ants and vultures, fools, indeed fools

you are. I was also informed that you fools wanted to kill him.

1ST MAN:(On his knees) Wise one, the King have asked us to kill, Ezendu.

OSONDU: (chanting incantations) I am sure you fools, know he is my brother. What has he

done that deserves his head, what has he done that has placed his head on the

Royal hanging' balance, instead of the usual sacrifices we sacrifice in place of

                                                human heads?

1ST MAN: (murmuring) Wise one, He committed the greatest abomination, hekilled the Kings

                                                youngest wife.

OSONDU: (stopped chanting incantations and looked seriously) but who told you he killed

                                                her, how sure are you?

3RD MAN:(shaking) Wise one one, He was found in the Kings courtyard when news spread

that the Kings youngest wife Adaeze was found dead  and everyone in this village

                                                knows she is pregnant.

ALL MEN: (chorusing frighteningly) Yes, he killed Adaeze.

OSONDU: (chanting incantations, looks at them fiercely) Why didnt you tell me of the latest

development, you just went off like that to carry out the law or where you not also told

that I am also the law here. This is serious, But Listen and listen attentively, if you

ever lay your hands on my brother again ........ (smiles lightly) you all know of my

                                                prowess!!

3RD MAN: (scared) Powerful one, the king asked us to kill him, the Law asked us to bring back

his head for the King to see before it is buried, failure to comply (makes a sign with his hand over his neck: like a knife over a neck)

2ND MAN:I'm afraid oooh, this task is beyond my ability, above our imaginations.

OSONDU: (Looks at them fiercely) Weak men! Enough of these lackadaisical comments!! Let

him live, I better die instead of him.

1ST MAN: Wise one, anyone laying a hand on you is as good as a dead goat.

OSONDU: (Laughing hysterically and moving round and round) Weak fools, who told you I am

not guilty. I, Eze_alusi killed the Kings youngest wife because she had guts and was

not afraid to counter my powers, she tried to kill me through witchcraft (laughing)

Ezealusi never dies. Now you see I am guilty not my brother, so kill me instead.

                                                 Untie him immediately!!

1ST MAN: We cannot believe you, your brother is guilty of the abomination and so the Law

asked us to kill him, the King will be expecting his head by now, so men fear no one,

stone him to death right away as instructed by the law.

OSONDU: (quickly reaching for some powder in his bag and pouring it on the men)

As the men were about to stone his brother they were all still like statues even with

                        stones in their hands.

At this the 1st man ran back and came with more men to attack Osondu                       As the men approach Osondu .......

Come and die too, you fools, (untying his brother) Ezendu run back home for this

battle I have won but the war will be fierce and I am yet to win.

Ezendu runs back home, with part of the ropes still on him, he runs and

                        stumbles, but kept running.

(drawing a circle on the ground) You foolish men you will also die like your fellows

here died, see them statues. (invoking the men to enter the circle including the first

man who was already sweating profusely) Painful death! (suddenly the ground

                        started swallowing the men)

The men were weeping, shouting, groaning and struggling with the ground

that was swallowing them, though all were swallowed except the first man

who was strong enough to struggle. Before the last man was swallowed

along with others, the King reached the scene of the incident.

KING: (raging) You evil man! You were not even afraid to lay that your filthy hands on my

messengers and killed them. Enough is enough of all these atrocities youve

committed, and you must leave this village, you are too devilish to stay here, too

wicked. I give you and you brother, Ezendu 24 hours to leave this village and be

exiled for life. You have done uncountable abominations. I also heard that you killed

my wife, Adaeze for a cause that is unspeakable for. You liar.

OSONDU: (laughing) (stroking his beard) No one dares touch the hair, the hair of life of alusi

ndu and anyone who tries to touch it must be exterminated (laughing wildly) Dont be

so moved because long before now Ive made plans to quit this village where the

inhabitants never appreciate me but try to take my life

KING: (bewildered and angry, went forward to bring out the last person that was to be

swallowed by the ground) Osondu, you have wounded me, you have broken my

heart, and I will never forgive you for this. My children and my childrens children

even till the fourth generation will never forgive you for this evil you did this day and

we must come back, back for revenge in any way it means, for what youve caused

                                                me.

            ACT TWO: SCENE ONE

Anyone along the path of Osondu and Ezendu always scamper for safety into

the bush or run back to where they were coming from

OSONDU: (Holding his belongings alongside Ezendu) That village I was telling you of is a rich

village richer than this village, when we go there we are aiming to get wealth. I will

make sure I influence everybody there. Will you be of help to me, I mean in the

                                                shrine.

EZENDU: (smiling) My brother, you saved my life and saved my future, what more can one

expect from a brother. All your wishes will always be my command, infact, take me

                                                as your servant.

OSONDU: (pausing, later began laughing wildly) (looking at Ezendu straight in the face)I can

see it, I can see it on your forehead, Judas. (laughs again) No one dares touch the

hair, (stroking his beard one after the other) the hair of life of alusi ndu and anyone

who tries to touch it must be exterminated .. Judas

EZENDU: (Puzzled) What do you mean by Judas?

OSONDU:                         My brother, dont worry, there is no problem just watch your ways and be careful in

all you do, but still, what I see makes me feel that your neck is in the hanging

                                                balance.

EZENDU: (puzzled, stopped walking and gazed at Osondu) (talking to himself) (holding his

neck with his mouth slightly open) My neck, hanging in the balance?

ACT TWO: SCENE TWO

In the village, where Osondu was exiled to, his new shrine was never dried of people patronizing him, they come in and go out as others are also coming in.

A fake pastor whose charms were now weak came to meet Osondu.

OSONDU: Young man, what brings you here?

FAKE PASTOR: I came all the way from Idam town, where I pastor a very large congregation. At Idam, wise one your power to do anything is known and so I came to tap from that your power. I was known all over the town for my ability to heal people but 5 months ago, my power for healing people weakened and my congregation declined in population. so I came to you to be strengthened again since the baba who gave me this charm is late now.

OSONDU: (laughing wildly, beating his gong loudly) So even you so-called pastors come to us for charms, that means we are very strong, especially I alusi ndu, this charm I will give you will be so powerful, it will not only heal, it will make wealth, real hot wealth and will also last long, as long as three years, you shall come for renewal every three years. (changing mood suddenly and looking serious) Now, for the sacrifices, I need 2 cows, 8 goats, 12 bottles of champagne, 30 litres of palm wine and 4 human heads, heads of children not more than 3 years old.

FAKE PASTOR: (shocked to the marrow at the mention of human heads) Alusi ndu, this is too heavy for me to bear, 4 human heads! No.. Where will Ieven get them from?

OSONDU: (laughing wildly and stroking his beard) What do you mean, why are you so surprised? You pastor a church where parents bring their children along to church, why dont you organize a form of childrens party, thereby you can get the heads. Even the motherless babies home is not left out, just adopt four children immediately and let go off their heads. Moreover your position as a pastor will make everything easy and smooth.

FAKE PASTOR: (heaving a sigh of relief) (muttering a few words) Thats ok. Ill see what I can do. How much will the cows and goats cost?

OSONDU: (stroking his beard) About a million naira.

FAKE PASTOR: (surprised) A million naira!

OSONDU: (expecting to hear worse comments) Is that much? You know what youve come for and ..

FAKE PASTOR: (cuts in immediately) No wise one I didnt complain it was too much for me now, its just that I did not expect it would be huge regarding my present condition. But no problem, I will give you some money right away in my car but the requirements, the cows and others will be provided tomorrow evening. Yes, I better buy them myself in order not to inconvenience you. (All smiling)

OSONDU: That is no problem. Let me call my boy, Ezendu to help you with the bag. Take this (giving a locket to the fake pastor) This will ensure your safe journey.

FAKE PASTOR: Wise one, Iam really grateful, its a pleasure meeting you today.

OSONDU: Ezendu, please help my friend with a bag he will give to you.

Minutes later

OSONDU: (smiling wildly) This is good, too good! Four hundred thousand naira cash!

FAKE PASTOR: This is just the beginning, when I return, maybe next year I shall do more.

ACT TWO: SCENE THREE

OSONDU: (Pacing the length and breadth of his shrine, smelling the air) Air of trouble, there is trouble near me. Who dares touch the hair of life of Alusi ndu. (picking up his magic mirror, he saw Ezendu in it, Ezendu was talking to himself:

EZENDU: Hmm! Osondu will soon be so rich, so rich that he will forget and abandon me, I must do something fast to make sure I eliminate him, his hair of life he keeps talking about will be cut.

OSONDU: (pours a black liquid on the mirror and lets a hen excrete on it) (laughing wildly) Small boy, when I called you Judas you pretended not to understand, ha ha ha I am the eyes that sees the invincible, you cannot touch, talk more of cutting down the hair of life of Alusi ndu. (striking the mirror lightly) Take what you deserve!! Die, I want you dead my brother, Ezendu you betrayed me, die and let your blood be on my head. Ha ha ha ha

Immediately Ezendu dried up in the mirror and also in the physical. Passers-by kept commenting on the horrible incident..

1st PASSER-BY: I heard that he was exiled from one village not too far away from ours, but Idam village never accepts this kind of people.

3rd PASSER-BY:I also heard that it was his brother, Alusi ndu that killed Ezendu, I fear that Alusi ndu I never go through that his way to the farm.

2nd PASSER-BY: Our Chief must do something before it gets out of hand, he might also starting drying us up too.

 Back in Osondus shrine

OSONDU: (talking to Ezendus image in the magic mirror) That serves you right.

Immediately the fake pastor, Michael arrives the shrine

FAKE PASTOR: Wise one, I am back with all that you asked me to get (pointing outside the shrine) the 2 cows, 8 goats and with me here (pointing to a large sack on the floor) are the 12 bottles of champagne, 30 litres of palm wine and 4 human heads.

OSONDU: You are welcome alusi neje uka. Thats good, so my turn, everything job left now is on my own part, that reminds me Im sure these heads are that of children not more than 3 years old.

FAKE PASTOR: Yes, I knew what I needed though it was not easy getting the heads but I did as you directed me, but Wise one, Wise one there is a problem, it keeps disturbing me every time of day and night.

OSONDU: Pastor, what is it that keeps disturbing you.

FAKE PASTOR: Children cries keep disturbing me, everywhere; even on the streets I see them following me, whenever I close my eyes all I see are children, little children moving towards me, crying. Worse still, this morning, in the church, I was preaching, then suddenly a small boy with a cutlass in his hand was moving slowing towards me I was running all around the church. No one except me was seeing this boy. Infact Im afraid Im going insane, I cannot even lead the church well again. Im ashamed of myself.

OSONDU: Pastor, calm down, now, you are a real alusi neje uka. I will give you a charm to protect you from the harm of the spirits of the babies you killed whenever they come to you again.

FAKE PASTOR: Wise one, you mean there is nothing that can be done to keep them away from me forever. I dont want to see them again, no, never again, no..

OSONDU: Yes! That is how this sacrifice goes, you asked for it and you got it, though as I have said you will be protected by my charm.

FAKE PASTOR: (biting his finger and putting his hands on his head, leaving his mouth wide open) Im finished, see what Ive done to myself. Oh Ive killed my self.

OSONDU: (laughing wildly and continuously)

ACT THREE: SCENE ONE

Three months later

FAKE PASTOR: (jubilating in his car on his way to Osondus shrine) (talking to himself) Yes Im so rich, richer than I ever thought, Osondu, is a real magic man, when I reach his shrine, I will tell alusi ndu that there are no more babies after me again. What a happy man I am afterall.

Minutes later..

OSONDU: (coming out of his shrine alongside the fake pastor) (over-joyous) So even after giving me this four hundred and fifty thousand naira, you are also giving me this Mercedes Benz, alusi neje uka Im so grateful for these, for remembering me mostly, thank you very much.

FAKE PASTOR: Yes, at least I should not forget my promises too quickly, I also bought these clothes for your messenger, Ezendu. Im sure he will like them.

OSONDU: (slows in speech) Ezendu is not my messenger, but my brother, though he works as a messenger in the shrine, moreover he is not here (turning his face away from the pastor and putting on a stern look) I sent him to Lagos to learn a trade that is because he is not so needed here.

FAKE PASTOR: I see (putting back the clothes into a bag)

Someone brings palm wine for the fake pastor and Osondu to drink, The fake pastor and Osondu discusses along as they sit down to drink.

(talking to one spirit in particular) What do you want from me go and meet Sam not me (talking to yet another spirit) (spirits now approaching him) (stumbles on a chair, getting to his feet, talking to a small child) You too, I killed you long ago, yes, Im sure you are already dead,

Spirits now approaching Osondu nearer than ever

Your father asked me to kill you in order to get wealth, so go and meet him not me. (stumbles again)

Osondu kicks a chair unaware. This time Osondu stumbled, the spirits were all over him, all of them were trying to tear his beard.

(Struggling with the spirits over his beard they were still dragging) Please torture me but dont touch the hair of life, please I beg of you.

Osondu still roaming the streets of the village, met the fake pastor

FAKE PASTOR: Alusi ndu. You dont see to recognize me again. I am the pastor.

OSONDU: (walking like someone that has just got off drunk a little) Aaah pastor, thank you, everything you gave to me all the money vanished spirits chase me everyday, I cannot think fine again, I am too weak and hungry, no food for 6 days.

FAKE PASTOR: Alusi ndu, its ok. I understand, dont work yourself up, come into the car, I will help you just as you have helped me rise to great fame.

Osondu entered the car and they zoomed off to the fake pastors house.

ACT THREE: SCENE THREE

FAKE PASTOR: (talking to Osondu) From now on, you will not be called alusi ndu, or other implicative names, henceforth, you are now Pastor John. You will pastor the members in this auditorium, wow, we will make money, your charms will create wealth for us, members will fill the brim of this auditorium, see Pastor, you know your charm is greater than mine, which means that this branch may soon turn out to be the headquarters.

OSONDU: (smiling) Pastor Michael, I am very grateful for everything, you are so kind, I hope I will adapt quickly to the new name, Pastor John. Yes, I am Pastor John. Also, we must be very careful.

FAKE PASTOR: (talking to Osondu) Please be careful not to call me alusi neje uka, though that is what we are?

Fake pastor, Michael and Osondu, Pastor John laughed heartily.

Fake pastor, Michael, continues talking

(talking to Osondu) Pastor John, please try to shave off this your long beard, it might scare the members.

OSONDU: (smiling lightly) I understand, Michael but shaving this beard is as good as committing suicide.

FAKE PASTOR: What do you mean by suicide?

OSONDU: (still smiling though looking serious) Its my life, this is the hair of life, the hair of life of alusi ndu, oh sorry! I meant to say John, this beard has never been shaved since birth. It has spiritual connection, anyone who wants to kill me, cannot kill me with a gun, matchet, arrow or anything but just simply cutting off this hair (touching and singled out one of the many hairs) this hair in particular is the hair of life, though touching other hairs around this hair of life will make me sick, nobody knows about this secret even the closest person to me,except witches and wizards who knew this and tried to kill but they could not for my super spiritual power. I have just told you the secret, this is because I trust you much.

FAKE PASTOR: (opened his mouth in astonishment, heaving a sigh of relief) I now know why you have left this beard grow so long and so long a time. (hugging and patting Osondu on the back) Its a secret never to be exposed.

 ACT FOUR: SCENE ONE

 2 Years Later

Osondu and the fake pastor discussing after church meeting

FAKE PASTOR: (talking to Osondu) (drinking champagne and smoking a cigarette)Pastor John, you have been so good , so great since these 2years, everywhere and everybody on the street keeps talking about Pastor John, wealthy men, the lame and crippled walk, blind see, even on the satellite, the local television stations, news men never cease from the church auditorium after church meetings just to catch a glimpse of you, interview you, because you are always the news of the day, it is either the papers carry the news of how you healed a person with an amputated arm and a new arm came or someone who lost his eye in a motor accident have just gotten another new eye to replace the damaged one. The radio stations both local and international, never for a day stop talking about Pastor Johns goodness and power to heal and make wealth. You are indeed a gift to this community.

OSONDU: (smiling lightly) (drinking from a thin gold glass) Please, do not flatter me.

FAKE PASTOR: Pastor John, you know Im saying the truth not flattering you, you have even seen things for yourself.

OSONDU: (paused for a minute) (putting his palm under his chin) Pastor Michael, there is a problem. A small personality is posing a problem to us.

FAKE PASTOR: Pastor John, who is the small personality you are talking about. (moves up his sofa) (drops his champagne)

OSONDU: (pouring drink into his glass) Michael, a so-called pastor in the most rugged part of this town whose member Im not sure are even upto 17, thinks he is so powerful, he has done so much harm to my body, (opens his shirt to reveal a light fire burn on his chest) with a fire he keeps praying for to burn me everytime. That small Pastor is a disturbance to us, he weakens my powers daily. I have suffered a lot from him.

FAKE PASTOR: John, ok I know the small personality you are talking about, His name is Godswill, Pastor Godswill, they call him, he is a dwarf, and the name of his church is Fire Hill Church, that man is a real threat to our kind, he has done real harm and left many of my friends, I mean pastor friends dead. I dont even go to my church activities whenever hes around in his own church, this is because there is something he knows how to do more and that is to send down fire, real spiritual hot fire, really hot and it burns me most times. But why should you, the mighty alusi ndu, you, the great one, you the wise one suffer from the torment and torrent of a nobody. No, you have to silent that man, just a spray of that your wonderful powder on him spiritually will keep him forever silent and he will finally rest six feet under the ground, giving him more time means trouble, unless you want him to burn us to death.

OSONDU: (furious) (dropping down his gold glass) Never, why should I suffer from him, (boasting and beating his chest) he is a nobody. I must silence him. Infact tomorrow, you will get results, let me go and consult my oracle.

 ACT FOUR: SCENE TWO

 3 Weeks Later

Osondu, Pastor John and the fake pastor, discussing in their residential apartment

OSONDU: (groaning) (talking to Fake pastor) That Godswill, that small person, is physically small, but he is mighty really spiritually, but I wont relent I must fight to finish, I must kill him before tomorrow, I swear that man would not see daylight, (pulling off all his clothes: shirt and trousers) Just take a look at my body.

FAKE PASTOR: (putting his hand over his nose, then over his mouth) Serious! Where you involved in a motor accident, did the vehicle catch fire. Just .

OSONDU: (cuts in immediately) Not at all, accident is a small matter, I was not involved in any. But this is the act of that same dwarf, he rained fire on me. (Putting on his clothes) I tried everything on him, my magic powder, arrows, pots but all to no avail, I made sure he died but no way! I tried him with women, I mean women he knows, he did not fall, I also tried him with money and gifts from even his members, he did not fall, I also tried him with the latest ride in town, a new Hummer Jeep he also did not fall. That man, infact I dont know. He has a real eyesight, I mean a powerful spiritual visual sight. He saw that my life lies in this hair. (touching a hair among his beard) He wanted to cut the hair, but I managed toe scape with my life. I know the war is not over yet, and he must loose it or die. But I wonder the kind of power this Godswill is using? (pauses for a few seconds) If only I know the powr he is using, I will destroy it.

FAKE PASTOR: (putting down his hand) Pastor John, I was mean to know that he is using Jesus power.

When the fake pastor, Michael mentioned Jesus, Osondu, pastor John and the fake pastor were both striked down by thunderand lightening, they both fell to the ground with a great thud as someone shocked by an electric transformer, they laid still as if they were dead for about 5 minutes, foam-like substances was finding its exit out of their mouth, there was thunder and lightening in the inner room where Osondus oracle was.

ACT FOUR: SCENE THREE

Osondu, Pastor John and the fake pastor, in their residential apartment

Osondu was holding the shirt of the Fake pastor as if he were a thief thereby forcing the fake pastors eye to bulge.

OSONDU: (shouting loudly) I have warned you times without number not to mention that name again, and you mentioned it again. Now, I am so weak, for that name weakened me so much. All the materials in my oracle have been brandished. You must pay dearly for this; I will use your head as a replacement for this damage. The oracle, is asking me to repair the damage that name has caused, if I dont make repairs it means my life is at stake, I must not die for nothing instead I replace your head for mine. (dropping his hand from fake pastors neck)

FAKE PASTOR: (putting his tie in place and clears his throat) Let me explain, Im sure you will understand.

OSONDU: (shouting) Understand what!!

FAKE PASTOR: (heaved a sigh of relief) You know, Michael, it was not my fault, I did not even know when I mentioned that name, I was even thrown to the floor by the same thunder and lightening that threw you to the floor. I am sure the oracle will understand my plea; you know I cannot intentionally do anything that will harm the both of us.

OSONDU: (sits quietly on the sofas arm) I now understand its not your fault, Ill do my best and believe that the oracle will also understand your plea. But that stupid dwarf is just the cause of everything that is going wrong, and everything that is going out of place, the members are now depreciating, last time in church service, a blind man was brought up to me for healing but I could not heal his eyes, I tried everything possible, the handkerchief, the water, even the red locket, what did I not use, everything! But nothing worked, I felt ashamed of myself, I felt like sinking into the earth, but I must bring back my reputation, I must never put my name and all I have worked for, for 3 years in mess. Its either that dwarfs life go for this or I destroy whatsoever power he is using.

Suddenly, there was a handwriting on the wall, which caused a

great light that made the fake pastor and Osondu not to see clearly,

thereby making them close their eyes lightly with their arms

OSONDU: (putting his arm over his eyes) (chanting incantations) Whats the meaning of this?

FAKE PASTOR: I too cannot see, (moving backwards a little) ok, I can see a little better now.

OSONDU: (looking at the fake pastor, Michael) What do you see?

FAKE PASTOR: (Looking at the handwriting curiously) Im trying to read it.

OSONDU: Please, try as much as possible to read the handwriting, because not getting the message spells doom.

FAKE PASTOR: (Looking at the handwriting more curiously than ever) It says, All power in heaven and on earth have been given to me and in the name of . (paused) No, I cant say this. You would not like to hear, the word is danger.

OSONDU: Please tell me everything both the danger word, so I can know what to do, to avert the possible danger!

FAKE PASTOR: (Still looking at the handwriting)I hope you dont get angry with me.

OSONDU: Yes, please tell me everything.

FAKE PASTOR: (puts on the face of someone who wants to cry)I hope Im not trying to kill myself.

OSONDU: Hey, come on. Or do you want me to strike you dead, myself.

FAKE PASTOR: ok, please, I will. All power in heaven and on earth have been given to me and in the name of (paused again but continued)Jesus, every knee must bow.

At the mention of Jesus, this time, only Osondu fell, he was moved around by a powerful breeze before he was brought to the ground, with his body thoroughly burnt.

FAKE PASTOR: (openshis mouth in awe)

ACT FIVE: SCENE ONE

Osondu tied the Fake pastor, Michael to a chair.

FAKE PASTOR: But I told you the name was a danger name, and then you asked me to say it.

OSONDU: You dont know what you are saying, right now your neck is in the hanging balance. You could not even notify me of the danger name. Now I am going for a revenge mission to kill that dwarf before he turns out to kill me, I will lock you up here, if I return from this deadly mission then you will be free, but if not you will die in here, understand!

FAKE PASTOR: But, please alusi ndu, dont have to do this to me.

ACT FIVE: SCENE ONE

That same night in a dream, God revealed to Pastor Godswill through an angel

ANGEL: (talking to Pastor Godswill) Godswill, do not be afraid, our Father, the God of Heaven asked me to alert you and make sure you have the strength and readiness for a spiritual battle tonight, he also told me to assure you that He is always with you all through the battle and you have no cause to worry.

Meanwhile, Osondu was using his mirror

OSONDU: (shouting at the top of his voice, and pouring fire from his mouth onto the mirror with all his strength) Godswill, I command you appear in this mirror. Appear! Appear!! (paused for several seconds, chanting incantations, gazed at the mirror, removes his face, gazes again and removes his face, gazes again, immediately he holds his throat slowly, coughing fire onto the mirror, removes his face from the mirror and gazes at it again)

This time, Pastor Godswill appeared on the mirror

Hahaha (talking to the image of Pastor Godswill) Now, I want you dead now!!

At the mention of die, nothing happened to Pastor Godswill, this angered Osondu

OSONDU: Godswill, you are mere man, with strange powers, I know but I want to let you know this day, today is not the other day, but today I will also let you know that my powers are stronger than yours. I command you once more die! Die!! Die!!! Aaah, so you are still alive, hahaha, you think you are above my destruction ok then I will let you know that there are many ways to kill a rat. (drops the mirror and heads for a dark pot covered with red cloth) (at the spot he shakes suddenly, -puts his hand over his ear as if he heard something, suddenly his body began to stretch and the walls of the building began to quake, sand from the top of the house began to stream in like water,he falls to the ground)

Meanwhile, in the dream

PAS.GODSWILL: (gasping in astonishment) An Angel! Oh, God, my Father, Thank you.

ANGEL: (simultaneously giving Godswill the armour, the shield, the helmet, the golden sword and the princely horse).

Take these; armour, shield, helmet, the golden sword and this princely horse, all these will ensure your victory against the evil perpetrator of the Kingdom of God. Listen to this and Listen carefully! In this battle, Do not listen to any stranger. I repeat, Do not listen to any stranger!!!

PAS.GODSWILL: (astonished) Yes! I will keep to all the instructions (examining the horse and other things the Angel gave to him)

The Angel disappeared.

PAS.GODSWILL: (still touching the horse and other things the Angel gave to him) Yes, I am sure going to be victorious.

Immediately, Osondu appeared as a woman to Pastor Godswill in his dream

OSONDU: Pastor, what a nice horse we got here, oh I like this horse, can I useit for my journey I will return the horse to you as soon as I return, I promise it will not hurt its foot, I will be very careful.
