Nigerian anthem and pledge that are prayers have no honour to God that is Nigeria and Nigerians problem:

Cross River State in Nigeria anthem solution:

Land of our Ancestors, we pledge to God,

Our love and toil in the years to be,

When we are grown and take our place,

As men and women with our race.

Cross River State our place, our pride

Almighty God all thanks to thee

Our Motherland we pledge to God

Heads, Hearts and hands through the years to be.

Cross River State anthem error and solution:
It should be to

ancestors not birth

Pledge to God

People can not be from another place,

Chinese, European, Indian etc.

and be from Cross River State.

Nigerian National Pledge (from 1976):
"I pledge to God to help Nigeria, my Country, to be faithful, loyal and honest.

To serve God to help Nigeria with all my, strength.

To defend her unity and uphold her honour and glory.

So help me God".

Nigerian National Pledge solution:
It should be

I pledge to God to help Nigeria...

To serve God to help Nigeria with...

National Anthem error solution:
The National Anthems error

is that it calls Nigerians to serve their leaders instead of the reverse:

'...Nigerians call obey to serve our fathers Land...'

the country is under the leaders;

Corruption started after the

new national prayer was introduced.

Study the dictionary meaning of obey and serve.
We should only obey God, the country is not a deity; this is against the Ten Commandments.
Only the elected or the civil servants who gave themselves to Government should serve the people.

The National Anthem should be thus:

'...Nigerians call to help to build our fathers Land...'

Or preferably, we should use the Second part of the Anthem that honours God.

Nigeria's Old Anthem (1960 - 1978)Nigeria's Anthem (from 1978) corrected

Nigeria we hail thee

Our own dear native land

Though tribes and tongues may differ

In brotherhood we stand

Nigerians all and proud to serve

Our sovereign motherland

Our flag shall be a symbol

That truth and justice reign

In peace or battle honour

And this we count as gain

To pass unto our children

A banner without stain

O God of all creation

Grant this our one request

Help us to build a nation

Where no man is oppressed

And so with peace and plenty

Nigeria May be blessed

Arise, O compatriots,

Nigeria's call obey

To serve God to help our Fatherland

With love and strength and faith

The labour of our heroes past

Shall never be in vain,

To serve with heart and might

One nation bound in freedom,

Peace and unity.

Or

Arise, O compatriots,

Nigeria's call to be (together)

To build (grow) our Fatherland

With love and strength and faith

The labour of our heroes past

Shall never be in vain,

To serve with heart and might

One nation bound in freedom,

Peace and unity.

Oh God of creation,

Direct our noble cause

Guide our leaders right

Help our youth the truth to know

In love and honesty to grow

And living just and true

Great lofty height attain

To build a nation where peace

And justice shall reign.

The Anthem before 1 October 1960 was British

God Save the Queen (King)

God save our gracious Queen,
Long live our noble Queen,
God save the Queen!
Send her victorious,
Happy and glorious,
Long to reign over us;
God save the Queen!

O Lord our God arise,
Scatter her enemies
And make them fall;
Confound their politics,
Frustrate their knavish tricks,
On Thee our hopes we fix,
Oh, save us all!

Thy choicest gifts in store
On her be pleased to pour;
Long may she reign;
May she defend our laws,
And ever give us cause
To sing with heart and voice,
God save the Queen!

Not in this land alone,
But be Gods mercies known,
From shore to shore!
Lord make the nations see,
That men should brothers be,
And form one family,
The wide world over!

From every latent foe,
From the assassins blow,

God save the Queen!
Oer her thine arm extend,
For Britains sake defend,
Our mother, prince, and friend,
God save the Queen!
